Cal Poly is proud to present the current group of student teachers. These young men and women are required to complete a full semester of student teaching in California high schools. Each of them will be eligible for two credentials in the State of California upon completion of requirements: Single Subject in Agriculture and the Agriculture Specialist.

The high schools serving as cooperating sites for this year’s student teachers include the following schools: Ann Sobrato HS – Morgan Hill,  Carpinteria HS, Dinuba HS, Hilmar HS, Hughson HS,  LeGrand HS, Lemoore HS, San Luis Obispo HS, Santa Maria HS, Shandon HS, and Templeton HS.

Heather Clement
B.S. in Animal Science with a minor in Agribusiness from California State University Chico. Extensive experience in leadership development, livestock evaluation, production, food marketing, and public speaking. Passionate about developing student potential and chapter success.

Chris Lemos
B.A. in Agricultural Studies With Agribusiness and Economics concentrations (Cum Laude) from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Masters degree in progress. Industry experience in crop protection. American Welding Society structural steel certification. Major interests in all parts of Ag Mechanics, Ornamental Horticulture, and crop and plant sciences. Have a strong passion for teaching shop.

Cesar Lopez
B.S. in Agriculture Science, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Background in Animal Science, Floriculture, and Natural Resource Management. Interests include: horticulture, Ag. Biology, landscaping design and installation, chemistry, and geosciences. Have a deep and strong passion for the FFA and enjoy coaching CDEs and helping students develop their leadership skills.

Jessica Forster
B.S. in Agriculture Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a concentration in Animal Science. Major interests include agricultural sciences such as Integrated Science and Biology, Animal Science, Ag leadership, and Agriculture Economics. Extensive practical experience in livestock production, leadership development, and the FFA. Looking forward to helping students succeed through agriculture education, Supervised Agriculture Experience programs, and the FFA.

Jennifer McKenry

Background in Agriculture Communications with emphasis in leadership development, Agriculture Mechanics, and Animal Science. Strong passion for teaching students, promoting new opportunities with SAE projects, and dedicated to using local communities to help improve agriculture programs.
